Happiest Smurf on the Block

We watched the Happiest Baby on the Block video tonight. That man is amazing! He's like the Dog Whisperer for babies! We both learned a lot and now I'm definitely going to get the book.

Look what a good swaddler Chris is. Mine was a disaster. I think Murphy was too floppy for me to work with. Yep, that's my excuse.

Good job DH! Sorry Amy, you'll have to keep practicing while DH watches and advises. I'm sure you will both have lots of laughs from it. Enjoy this time while whatever it is you are swaddling can't start crying.

Swaddling will be your friend. And the tighter the better!!

Plain cotton blankets work the best - nothing with stretch b/c the baby WILL get out. I ended up getting some thin flannel material at the fabric store, hemming it, and using those. I could never find a regular blanket big enough to do a really good swaddle - especially as they get a little bigger!

You may be in luck - having a baby that hates to be swaddled!! I got the book for my cousin when she was having the triplets. It has some really great information. Mr. Smurf looks very comfy Chris. Job well done!

You have a Smurf.

You know the box? The one I can't stop talking about? In the box was also my Smurfing Songbook. Complete with terrible songs about Smurfs and pages to color.

Oh, and good job, Chris. I think you made an excellent attempt, and I couldn't do any better!
