Poll

I've put up a baby poll on the right side since we're having our big ultrasound in exactly two weeks. Feel free to participate!

In the interest of full disclosure, I was 8lbs 9oz and 18.5 inches long. Chris was 9lbs 6 oz and 22.5 inches long.

Boo hoo

I miss NMD. I know Girl's working hard at getting it back up, but it's been down for almost a full day now. The withdrawal is terrible. I really should even be TRYING to get on there because I have so much work to do, but those damn ladies are addictive.

Update: NMD is back up! Gail rocks!

PS - My little emaciated baby to the right looks like I need to stock up on some more ice cream sandwiches. And a blanket. Poor thing.

New trick

While my belly button is far from popping out, I have a new trick I can do with it. It's become much more shallow and now I can manipulate it so it looks like an outtie. It's very fun.

Gymnastics, anyone?

I wrote this morning that I hadn't felt the baby move and now...he's doing gymnastics in there. It started with three little twitches and now I'm feeling it a lot all of the sudden. I should drink a Coke and see what happens!

I thought I felt movement last week, but I guess it wasn't because I haven't felt anything since. Any day now, I guess....

Ain't No Shame in my Game

Sorry, no pic today

Chris and I were both out late last night and completely forgot to take my 16 week belly picture. But we'll take it tonight and I'll post it tomorrow for you stalkers out there (Mom, I'm talking to you).

I went to a breastfeeding class last night. It was fascinating! I really learned a lot. I had no idea there was so much technique involved. I definitely feel much better equipped now than I would have just reading a book. We watched a video and talked to the instructor and got to ask our questions. It was a small group (3 women including me and one husband), which was nice, so we were able to converse much better than if it were more like a seminar. And the best part of the evening? The color handout with what poopy diapers are supposed to look like if they're healthy! Chris practically snatched it out of my hand when I pulled it out to show him because he was so excited. I think he really would have enjoyed the video. It was pretty graphic. He'll have to come with me next time when I go back for my refresher course in a few months.

16 Week Appointment

I had my 16 week doctor's appointment this morning. It was a quick one. Pee, weigh, BP, hearbeat, see ya later. I'm down a pound since last visit, blood pressure was nice and low, and the Turkey's heartbeat was loud and clear. I'm a little nervous that I haven't gained any weight. I have a feeling it's going to hit all at once and then...Stretchmark City. Great.

We scheduled our big ultrasound appointment for July 11th. I'm really glad we were able to make it that day since it's our due date with The Nugget. It'll turn what was going to be a pretty sad day into a very exciting one. I've joined a new online group and the majority of these ladies are having their babies in July, which has been kind of hard. I see their huge bellies and some of them have already delivered. It makes me think of where I should be. But I've gotten to a point where I'm excited for them and I rarely feel sorry for myself. I'm really trying hard to stay positive.

Slacker

Chris gave me a hard time this morning because I haven't been posting much. Honestly, I don't have anything to say. Nothing really has been happening. A few highlights:

- We were in Baltimore this past weekend to help my mom get a closet organization system installed in her new condo. This place is so beautiful. It's really elegant and I'm so happy that they're moving out of the ghetto.

- My stepsister gave us a bunch of baby stuff for when our Turkey gets here. We totally scored on some very cute stuff. Woot!

- We reserved tickets to go see Chris' family in Minnesota next month. I hate flying. But I'm excited to mee that side of his family. I met his dad and stepmother for the first time the weekend of our wedding.

- My belly seems to have popped in the past day. I went on a feeding frenzy a few days ago and then yesterday...POP! It was a little shocking. But at least now I look pregnant and not just chubby.

I think that's all I have to say. It's been really boring around here.
