Thanks!

Thanks for all your suggestions! This afternoon I tried everyone's advice but finally what worked was just rocking him for 5 minutes until he fell asleep, and then rocking for five more minutes to make sure he was good and out, and then transferred him to his crib. He slept for over an hour!

I just don't want to make rocking him a habit.

Poor kid just needs to learn how to sit himself back down after standing and I think we'd be okay.

Have you thought about trying Crib Rail Teethers

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-2978481-1760166?ASIN=B000056JJ8&AFID=Froogle&LNM=B000056JJ8|Crib_Rail_Teether&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B000056JJ8&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001

We used them with Harry when he did that. We put them on the crib and just let him cry it out. After a few days he lost interest in eating the crib and started napping normally again.

I'm glad he slept well after that! By the way, I love the pic of the day. That is too cute! lol

I am glad he slept better. Now that Timothy is almost 16 months old he is really at a stage of I don't want you to hold me I wanna get down and walk and get into everything I can and I use bed time as my cuddle time with him and rock him for just a few mins and he is still awake when I put him in bed. He then goes right to sleep on his own since he has settled down. He also has a favorite blanket that goes with him to bed and when ever he feels he needs it, it his comfort item. Hope things go better with napping. I am down to one nap a day wish I still had 2 naps a day!!!!
