It really only took a few times of warning him to be careful when he got close to the edge (and a few faceplants) for him to realize on his own what to do. Usually he just drops to his belly and slides down that way. Last night, he sort of crawled/slithered down. He's smart.

He's smart enough to know that the belly thing didn't feel right and learns problem solving this way. The video stopped just as I saw a smile appearing under his pacifier. He's probably thinking, "I knew I could do it".
