Baby Shopping

Chris and I went to the baby stores this past weekend to get a start on picking out the necessities. We had a great time at Buy Buy Baby in Springfield. Our sales guy was so excited about every carseat and stroller. It was crazy. But we got a lot of stuff picked out for our Babies R Us registry. We'll have to finish it after we find out the sex next week.

So, the highlight of our Buy Buy Baby trip? We were trying on Baby Bjorns and had fetched a doll to put in there to see if we like it. As we were doing that, some random lady offered up her kid! So she put her daughter in Chris's Bjorn! Can you believe that??? No? We have proof:

Nobody would ever do this in Baltimore! This is why I love living in Virginia.

That is awesome. You know though, from the post title and the picture, it kind of looks like you were actually baby shopping.

The mother of the baby looks like she may have had even more fun than you both did. The baby looks like she thought it was fun also. This was probably not her first time trying out things for people they don't know. Mom and baby look like pros at it. I agree--not going to happen in Baltimore.

Was it the regular Bjorn or the active Bjorn? The reason I ask is that we had/have the regular one and I wasn't particularly fond of it since even when the kids weren't that heavy, it hurt the hell out of my back. I've heard that the active one is better for that reason. I could never stand to wear it for more than like 15 minutes. If you're thinking about slings or other carriers, I've heard good things from other moms about www.babywearer.com.

Canape, that was the intention. :-)

Erike, definitely the active one. I loved the back support.

There are certain parts of Baltimore where that might happen. Just not the parts we know about.

that would totally happen in baltimore. only after the mother put the kid in the thing she would have run.

The picture and the blog title make it look like you were shopping for a baby.

I have been shopping at BabiesRUs from a long time and very happy with the coupons savings.
