Learning how to bite

I'm trying to teach Carter how to bite things, and not shove the entire thing in his mouth. This morning I handed him half a banana to see what happened. I think he did pretty well!

I thought for sure he was going to drop the banana behind the chair, but he didn't. He did not like that the banana was uneven after he took a bite out of it. The piece that was sticking up after he took a bite was annoying him. It was so funny to watch. He was mumbling about it. Shame I couldn't understand what he said.

Try a cheese puff. Snyders of Hanover makes a whole grain, sharp cheddar cheese puff that isn't too unhealthy. Parker takes bites of those.

I love that! I like the "but, mama, look! My mouth just doesn't open...big...enough...Well, okay, if you say it'll work..." faces.
