I'd heard the rumors. Diapers? Wipes? Baby food? A breastfeeding room??? It couldn't be true.
Carter and I made our way down to Ikea yesterday and, like clockwork, he was ready to eat as soon as we got there. Now, Girl just made me a fabulous hooter hider (pics to come) but I couldn't picture sitting in one of the staged living rooms feeding my little dude, so I seeked out this rumored breastfeeding room.
It exists! It was a nice room right off the cafeteria (damn you Swedish meatballs...I haven't had red meat in over 15 years, yet you still tempt me!) with two comfy chairs and a changing station. Stocked with diapers, wipes, AND changing table covers!! Unbelievable.
Plus, they're smart. They had a cute little mobile hanging over the changing table and as soon as Carter smiled at it, I knew I had to buy it. That, my friends, is smart marketing. Thankfully, this is Ikea, and with our new money constrictions I had to be careful about how much I was spending. But, I only had to shell out $7.99 for said mobile. Sweet.
I heart Ikea.

What a wonderful concept. You can't beat the price of the mobile, that's for sure.
my friend Brad always used to say that Ikea was swedish for shit, but I love that place. by the way, the meatballs smell good but that's about it. I heard it from a friend, because you know how picky I am
Did you figure out how to adjust it?
I wish we had Ikea here. That's a great price for a mobile. You are right, very smart marketing!
Love Ikea. All of our living room furniture, from sofa to bookshelves and everything in between, is from Ikea. I wish I had known about the nursing room when I had to wait there for an hour with #1 when she was a babe.
Oh My Sweet, love of all things swedish... I heart ikea. BIG TIME. In fact, thats what my valentine's day t-shirt says.
We just spent all of our hard earned christmas cash at the ikea closest to us... and I drooled the whole time I was there...
What else did you buy?
Woohoo!! We're getting an Ikea in March here! Im so excited! :)
I didn't know Ikea was hiding such coolness. We may have to check it out next time whether or not Maggie wants to.
I love Ikea. We just got ours last year and I thought the fully stocked breastfeeding/changing room was the best! And when he gets older, he can enjoy the play area! When I took my kiddos there I was kinda jealous that *I* couldn't stay and play. lol
