Haven't used up the lysol all purpose yet, so I have no hints on bathroom stuff. But for the kitchen it works great. Just be prepared for ".....What's that smell?" :) (It only smells strongly of vinegar when you spray it.)

Glad all is going well. :) I keep seeing Earth Day on my calendar and telling myself to get back to blogging. Eh. :)Butrfly Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10284837155321500602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32138151.post-76674045894895164962008-04-01T20:08:00.000-05:002008-04-01T20:08:00.000-05:00We started going green too. Lots of flourescent light bulbs, recycling bins, and the new Clorox Greeworks as a cleaner.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04633433353458859094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32138151.post-81519879828885066772008-04-01T16:31:00.000-05:002008-04-01T16:31:00.000-05:00d.w. has just recently switched over to making all...d.w. has just recently switched over to making all our cleaning products with vinegar etc. That was the March installment of our 12-step program of greening the house (Jan and Feb were turning off lights more often and switching to compact fluorescents). So far so good!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32138151.post-15398943616678446622008-03-31T09:57:00.000-05:002008-03-31T09:57:00.000-05:00Use newspaper (with sprayed diluted vinegar) inste...Use newspaper (with sprayed diluted vinegar) instead of paper towels on windows. Just plain old newsprint newspaper. It'll dry streak free.I'm Not Skippyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04966974195562678603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32138151.post-35527687527470018962008-03-30T11:59:00.000-05:002008-03-30T11:59:00.000-05:00I love the vinegar and baking soda in the kitchen ...I love the vinegar and baking soda in the kitchen and on food surfaces. The only problem we've had is with tubs/showers and that just requires a lot of muscle.

The lemon juice doesn't "whiten" our grout as well as bleach so I've been trying hydrogen peroxide instead but without much success.

Cleaning the toilets is a snap-- just pour in the baking soda, then vinegar and it's like magic.

We also had a recent bout of stomach virus in the house and I did break out the bleach to bomb the bathrooms after that.Tamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05943816900270023501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32138151.post-26918758426423844372008-03-29T20:48:00.000-05:002008-03-29T20:48:00.000-05:00I've never used just the vinegar/baking soda combo...I've never used just the vinegar/baking soda combos and such, but I love the Method cleaning products at Target which are supposed to be non-toxic as well. The window cleaner isn't great but all the other stuff works just as well and smell non-cleaner like. Mmmm lavender and grapefruit!

My only exception is that I still rely on bleach spray for our shower b/c NOTHING works on the mildew problem we have. And I've tried a LOT of non-toxic stuff.

Congrats to Mr. Smarty Pants! He's already getting good grades! :)Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07469405046966158075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32138151.post-30254714396760425102008-03-29T19:03:00.000-05:002008-03-29T19:03:00.000-05:00Ive been using vinegar for awhile and love how cle...Ive been using vinegar for awhile and love how clean it gets things and the smell is way less harsh than bleach.Stephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14213920790448432716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32138151.post-46959329701261039362008-03-29T13:43:00.000-05:002008-03-29T13:43:00.000-05:00Isn't that wonderful---straight A's!
